Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter yesterday and shared the first look of his upcoming movie- ‘Jhund.’ One word that defines the poster is “thought-provoking.”

He’s seen standing in an enclosed area that looks like a playing field. A broken van and a ball occupy space in the abandoned field.
The flick is inspired by the life of Vijay Barse who is the founder of NGO Slum Soccers. Amitabh Bachchan will portray the character of Vijay Barse who is a professor and encourages street children to form a football team.

The poster received a positive response from fans and followers on social media as soon as it was shared. In fact, the first poster of the film was released last year in the month of February and it was captioned with these lines, “Amitabh leads this Jhund.”

The movie is directed by Nagraj Manjule of ‘Sairat’ fame which was a Marathi film. This film will be Nagraj’s first movie as a Bollywood director so clearly, there would be high expectations from the Bollywood newcomer.
Being a huge fan of Amitabh, Nagraj readily agreed when he was told to approach Mr. Bachchan for this film said producer Savitha Hiremath. Amitabh on his part didn’t take much time to sign the offer after he saw Nagraj’s work in 'Sairat'.
Here’s the first teaser of the film. It is captivating to see the kids take to the street and walk in tandem as a team. The film also stars Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru. The catchy music is the icing on the cake! The film hits screens on 8 May, 2020.
