Meet The Mysterious Dentist ‘Freddy’ in Disney+Hotstar’s New Teaser

Disney+Hotstar dropped the teaser of Kartik Aaryan’s new romantic thriller film ‘Freddy.’ The teaser is indeed interesting and has a dark streak to it. You’ll see Kartik in a never-before-seen avatar. 

The character of ‘Freddy’ seems uncanny. From what we learn from the teaser ‘Freddy’ is a Dentist. There are many words in the teaser that describe the character of  ‘Freddy’ such as shy, lonely, naive, introvert, repulsive, nervous, conscious, insightful and so on. 

You can catch the Dentist going about his routine work by the day such as practising in a clinic, savouring nature, painting and dancing. That said, when night strikes, a person who apparently is Freddy is seen dragging a body in the dark woods.

In the last clip you’ll hear him saying to a person who is presumably dead, “Sorry Sir! Kept you waiting.”

The teaser is pretty engaging till the end. 

It would be interesting to witness Kartik Aaryan take on the role of the ever spooky Dentist - Freddy.

“I’m known for comedies and rom-coms. Freddy is nothing like what I’ve done before. Kartik came on board for Freddy a couple of years before me. When I spoke to Kartik after reading the script, I was taken aback. I expected many changes, but he wanted to keep it as dark as it was,” Director of the film Shashanka said.

Kartik shared the teaser and captioned it, “Welcome to the World of Freddy. Appointments open 2nd December 2022.”

Apart from Kartik, Freddy also features Alaya F, Jeniffer Piccinato and Tripti Agarwal in pivotal roles.

Talking about the film  Kartik said, “Freddy was a complex script and character, the prep of the role had to be done physically and mentally as well. The character helped explore a different side of my craft and encouraged me to challenge my abilities at every step as an actor. The first time I got the opportunity to explore the dark side of me.”

Alaya F said, “I was very excited to be a part of Freddy as soon as I heard the story. Kainaaz was a challenging character for me, I had to learn and unlearn a lot of things to get into character.”

Get ready to meet ‘Freddy’ on streaming platform Disney+Hotstar on December 2.
