The audio edition of the book has been one of the factors for the increase in the popularity of the book. The audio edition is read by Oscar nominated actor Michelle Williams. According to Gallery, a division of Simon & Schuster, the memoir is the fastest selling audio release in the company’s history.
The singer did not promote this book on a large scale except posting about it on her social media channels.
“Over the past 15 years or even at the start of my career, I sat back while people spoke about me and told my story for me,” she said. “After getting out of my conservatorship, I was finally free to tell my story without consequences from the people in charge of my life.”
The book covers important aspects of Britney Spears’ life such as her rise to fame, her tumultuous relationships especially with singer Justin Timberlake and her life under the strict 13 year conservatorship.
And this is not the end! What’s more surprising is that Britney is planning to release ‘The Woman In Me’ Volume 2 next year. She announced on her official IG profile, “Humor is the cure to everything! Play on! Volume 2 will be released next year … get ready! ”
