A video clip of a young labourer working under dangerous conditions has attracted the attention of netizens.
The video clip was shared by Dr Showkat Shah; a Srinagar based Doctor on Twitter.
The video was captioned, “He needs appreciation and all praise.”
The clip shows a young boy perched upon a very narrow scaffolding on top of a building. The building seems to be high.
The boy can be seen sitting in that narrow space while simultaneously doing work.
The young boy is able to work at such a height in that narrow space shows that he is very skilled at the work however it is unfortunate that he’s forced to do this work due to poverty.
The video is hair-raising for sure and will make you ponder how so many labourers work under dangerous conditions without safety measures.

The video clip has angered online viewers and this is how some of them have responded:
“Criminal behavior this, to allow and compel him to do this, for a living.”
“Shouldn’t have been permitted. It is risking a life.”
“Definitely need safety lines strapped. And a good insurance.”
“He needs safety gear and equipment. Can’t praise a life threatening practice.”
“Before appreciation, his company or his employer needs to provide him with the safety belts, etc & should have followed safety standards.”
“No harness, no safety measures. He needs safety for sure first.”
“Safety shoes
Safety helmet
Safety jacket
Safety harness
That's what he needs”
“He is there for a petty livelihood not appreciation and praise. He deserves legal protection and his employer needs legal action for endangering his life.”
“Where is the protection gear? This should not be allowed.”
