Renee ZellWeger Portrays The Role Of Judy Garland In Upcoming Biopic Movie

Renee Zellweger will be playing American actress and singer Judy Garland in the upcoming biopic- ‘Judy’. The movie’s twitter page has shared the new look of Renee Zellweger as Judy herself and the transformation is remarkable. Here’s more.

The shooting of Judy has begun recently in London. Zellweger will be portraying the role of Judy Garland set in 1968, a period when Garland gave a series of sold-out concerts in London. It was during that period; she had recovered from substance abuse, a series of rocky relationships and had returned to limelight. The movie is going to feature some of Garland’s best songs such as “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”.

As per the synopsis, the movie will showcase Garland’s battles with the management, her rocky relationships and her memories with family, friends and fans. Garland finally discovers love with Mickey Deans- her fifth husband.  The actress passed away at the age of 47 due to accidental substance overdose. We are not very sure if Zellweger will sing some of the songs herself, as she had done in the movie ‘Chicago’.  If we are lucky, we may end up seeing Zellweger, taking up the stage with her own voice too. She’ll be playing alongside British actor Michael Gambon.
