Prince William and Kate Middleton Moving into New Home from London for Children’s Education
Kensington Palace has announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are relocating to Windsor along with their three children from London.
Kensington Palace has announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are relocating to Windsor along with their three children from London.
The couple will move to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor’s home park. The purpose of the move is their kids' education. They will be joining Lambrook School in Berkshire in September.
The school is located just outside of Windsor and it has reportedly 560 students according to a report on Fox News.
Royal sources have shared that the parents want their kids to have a “normal upbringing” as much as possible.
“Their Royal Highnesses are hugely grateful to Thomas’s Battersea, where George and Charlotte have had a happy start to their education since 2017 and 2019, respectively, and are pleased to have found a school for all three of their children which shares a similar ethos and values,” Prince William and Kate Middleton said in a press release on Monday.
“We are delighted that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will be joining us this coming September and very much look forward to welcoming the family, as well as all of our new pupils, to our school community," the headmaster at Lambrook School, Jonathan Perry, said in a statement.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte attended the Thomas’ School in Battersea in South London for the last few years, while Prince Louis was enrolled in Willcocks Nursery School.
While both Kate and Prince Williams were in boarding their children will most probably be day scholars because the school in Lambrook is just a 15-minute drive away from Adelaide Cottage.
The school offers a wide range of subjects to study. French, Religious Studies, Design, and Technology are some of them. Latin is compulsory from year five.
The school grounds are spacious as it is 52 acres which means that the kids have plenty of space for games. There’s a 9-hole golf course, a 25-metre swimming pool, and a large sports hall. The school also offers music lessons.
The Royals' new home- modest four-bedroom Adelaide Cottage was built in 1839 in honour of Queen Adelaide, wife of King William IV.
