Katy Perry Is About To Hit a Whole New Level of Stardom—in Space!
Katy Perry is joining Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin team for their thrilling upcoming New Shepard NS-31 mission. The cosmic journey is said to take place sometime during the Spring.

American pop star Katy Perry is heading to space with Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin team on the upcoming New Shepard NS-31 mission.
The forty year old singer will be joining six female crew members in the thrilling space voyage.
“If you had told me I'd be part of the first all-female crew in space, I would have believed you. Nothing was beyond my imagination as a child,” Katy was quoted as saying by Newsweek.
Journalist Lauren Sanchez, who is married to Jeff Bezos, is the driving force behind this entire adventurous concept!
The team of brave women comprises Perry, rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, bio-astronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen, CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King, film producer Kerianne Flynn, and Lauren Sanchez.
Blue Origin said this is the first all-women spaceflight to take place since the Soviet Union's Valentina Tereshkova's solo mission in 1963.
“I can’t believe it’s happening. My dad used to teach people how to fly, and I used to hang around the hangar. I thought dreaming of becoming a pilot was a huge deal, and this is even bigger. The incredible women who are going on this flight are extraordinary in all of their fields, but more importantly, they’re incredible storytellers. So what I’m hoping for is that this flight is not just transformative for them, but also for all of the people that they tell their story to. Hopefully, it sparks that imagination to dream big and reach for the stars”, Lauren said in a video post.
Blue Origin has been flying people to space since 2021, and this is the eleventh time, the New Shepard programme is transporting humans to space. Jeff Bezos boarded with his brother for the inaugural flight.
The date of the takeoff for the all-female mission hasn’t been officially announced, but Blue Origin said that it will take place sometime in the spring.
As per Blue Origin, the trip will last about 11 minutes. It is an autonomous journey, as there are no pilots. The human spaceflight will take passengers past the Kármán line, internationally recognized as the edge of space.
Will Katy Perry belt out her favourite tunes from space? One thing’s for sure—this is going to be an unforgettable ride to the stars!
