Kapil Dev Offers Aid to Vinod Kamble to Go to Rehab amid Poor Financial Condition
Vinod Kambli is “Not” in a good state in terms of financials. Accepts Kapil Dev’s proposal for rehabilitation for the 15th time. Agrees to go to rehab if the family is around.
Vinod Kambli former cricketer and a member of BCCI has been facing a hard time in improving the health and financial conditions. He has been in a Rehabilitation center at least 14 times in the past. He has agreed to the proposal offered by Kapil Dev’s winning team to sponsor him for the rehabilitation center. He further said that he is willing to go any further as long as he has his family around.
Kambli said that his financial situation is messy and that he cannot afford more medical bills and accepts the offer from Kapil Dev. He stated that his only source of income is through the pension he receives from BCCI which is around 30k per month.
"But how my wife has handled everything, hats off to her. [Sunil] Gavaskar was the first to react (to Kapil Dev's offer). Sure, I have no hesitation (to enter rehab), because until I have my family with me, I'm not afraid of anything, anybody. I will complete it and return it. I will come back," said Kambli on Vickey Lalwani’s YouTube channel.
Kambli came into the spotlight recently at Ramakant Acharya’s memorial where he was seen meeting Sachin Tendulkar. He looked helpless and struggling. Soon after a post was shared on social media, a bunch of cricketers came forward to help Kambli and his situation. Kambli would need better assistance in terms of his health.
