Carrie Underwood Reveals Her First Selfie after The Accident and She Looks Amazing

For the first time, singer Carrie Underwood shared her first close-up selfie after the accident in November that left her with 40-50 stitches on her face and with a broken wrist.

Last November Carrie Underwood was walking her dog when she tripped and fell outside her Nashville home. This accident left her with a broken wrist and numerous gashes on her face that was so bad that the singer was afraid that her face will scare her three-year-old son. She was afraid that her face will never be the same.

After the accident, the actress has first time revealed a close-up selfie.

She captioned it “Ready to cheer on the boys tonight! Especially that #12! I hear he’s alright! 😘 @mfisher1212 @predsnhl#LetsGoPreds" In the caption, she is referring to her husband, Mike Fisher and his hockey team- the Nashville Predators. The close-up selfie reveals the singer’s gorgeous face that has healed except for a scar on her upper lip that can be seen.

Underwood soon got back to work after the accident and shared a random black and white photo of her staring intently inside a music studio. Since the accident, the singer hasn’t clicked many photos or selfies and shared it on social media.

On Thursday, she revealed how the accident took place, on her visit to iHeartRadio’s The Bobby Bones Show. “I was taking the dogs out to go pee one last time, and I just—I tripped," she said. "There was one step, and I didn’t let go of the leashes! Priorities! So that’s why my left hand’s fine. But I went to catch myself and I just missed a step." She continued: "If I had fallen anywhere else, I would have been perfectly fine," she added. "But it was one step that messed everything up”.

The singer also stated that there’s another part of the story that she hasn’t talked about. She stated “There is also another part of the story that I haven’t been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up,” she wrote in a note to her fan club members. “It’s crazy how a freak random accident can change your life.” 

Resuming her work shortly after the accident indicates the singer’s passion and dedication towards her work. She is truly an inspiration to her fans and we are glad that the popular singer is on the fast road to recovery. However, the singer has definitely aroused our curiosity when she says that there’s another part of the story that she hasn’t talked about.
