Azerbaijan Airlines with Close to 60 Passengers on Board Crashes in Kazakhstan

Safety has become a mere term in Aviation where frequent news of different airplane crashes can be heard most days. A passenger flight from Baku crashed near Kazakhstan and burst into flames. Passengers record the horrific scenes before and after the crash. Azerbaijan Airlines traveling from Baku to Grozny in Russia, an ill-fated flight that crashed near Aktau. According to the reports, the flight was redirected because of dense fog and it was not following the usual course of travel.

The Aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing with 62 passengers on board. An additional 5 crew members were also involved. There were only 29 survivors in the flight who were soon rescued by the authorities. The initial course of the aircraft was northwest of Baku however, soon after taking off it was rerouted to the Caspian Sea and ended up falling at Aktau.

As per the data shown in Flight Radar, the initial, course of the flight was not followed, and a deviation of the flight where it flew above the Caspian Sea and kept hovering over the area of fall. The footage was recorded by a traveler which shows the aftermath of the crash. The video which is circulated on social media has reached multiple audiences. The video shows passengers bleeding from the head. Another passenger was trying to exit the aircraft through emergency windows.

As of now, the death toll has reached close to 38 and close to 29 people have been rescued. While Kazakhstan and the Russian Government claimed that these numbers might change depending on more rescued individuals. While Russia has not disclosed any reason for the possible crash, however, an instance of a bird strike is being considered.

"All possible scenarios are being examined, and the necessary expert analyses are underway," added the prosecutor General of Azerbaijan. Images and Videos showed moments before the plane crashed and burst into flames. Once, it had hit the ground, a thick black smoke was seen covering the entire flight. Passengers were seen getting out of the craft in blood-soaked clothes.

Passengers could recall the horrific incident and the way the passengers were trying to get out to a safer place. One of the children pleaded to save her mother who was stuck at the back of the plane. These frequent plane crashes and disasters in Aviation are concerning as safety has been reduced. Many air crash cases are causing fear among the people.

Many people claimed that the plane crash was a defense act made by Russia as they suspected the flight. One of the Ukrainian national security agents on his Twitter note claimed that This morning, an Embraer 190 aircraft of an Azerbaijani airline, flying from Baku to Grozny, was shot down by a Russian air defense system. However, admitting this is inconvenient for everyone, so efforts will be made to cover it up, even the holes in the remaining parts of the aircraft,”

While the possible outcome of the crash is birdstrike, Russia or Kazakhstan have not reported anything on the plane crash.
