One of the most popular DJs of Asia, DJ Adam Neat is no more. The 42-year-old artist from Australia, popularly known as Adam Sky was helping a friend who has suffered several broken bones after a fall, on the Indonesian island this weekend. The friend has survived but Neat lost his life following an excessive blood loss.

According to hotel sources, Adam Neat has crashed through a glass door at Hillstone Villas Resort in order to help his friend and Russian employee, Zoia Lukiantceva. Zoia has fallen several metres from a private pool area and broke her leg. It is when, Neat rushed to the yard below to help her and in the process smashed into a glass door which caused him suffer severe cuts on his arm, led to the fatal blood loss.

Adam Neat’s official Facebook account AdamSkyOfficial has confirmed his death.

A Post reads, “It is with great regret that we can confirm Adam Neat was involved in a fatal accident while trying to help a friend who had suffered multiple fractures in Bali on Saturday 4th May 2019. Relatives and friends of Adam are travelling to Bali today and handling all arrangements. We ask you to respect the families privacy at this moment while we all come to terms with our tragic loss.”

As the news of his death started surfacing, tributes started to pour in on his Facebook page, which has more than 900,000 followers, remembering the musician as a “great guy” and a “beautiful friend”.

A fan wrote, “RIP Adam Neat. Absolutely devastated. Beers for you and I’ll see you on the other side”.

Another wrote, “A crazy, inspiring and massively big hearted person had sadly left us and a big hole behind. RIP Adam”.

The DJ’s father Gary Neat, who is an Australian businessman and a former journalist associated with ABC, has reached Bali to finalize the formalities.

Adam Neat’s website introduces him as a “powerhouse” of the dance music scene in Asia. He has worked with global stars like David Guetta and Afrojack. Over the years, the Singapore-based DJ has found a mass market by touring across Asia. His website describes he has more top 100 and top 10 charted tracks than any other producer in Asia. Neat use to host a popular radio show, ‘Guest list Radio’, which also enabled him to reach more than one million listeners monthly, across the world.
