Amitabh Bachchan to Defend Taapsee Pannu Once Again: ‘Badla’ Trailer

As soon as the ‘Badla’ trailer hit the online platforms, viewers just can’t stop talking about the return of the star duo, Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in the upcoming crime thriller.

Amitabh Bachchan to Defend Taapsee Pannu Once Again: ‘Badla’ Trailer

Amitabh Bachchan is once again prepared to support Taapsee Pannu trapped in a fatal crime, the film is ‘Badla’ and we are delighted to the comeback of this on-screen pair, after ‘Pink’. A thrilling crime-drama, directed by Sujoy Ghosh is a Red Chillies Entertainment production, releasing March 8.

Take a look at the ‘Badla’ trailer:

‘Badla’ confirms to be a remake of ‘Contratiempo’, a 2016 Spanish thriller film. Now, Bollywood has been quite keen towards producing remakes since ages, be it the films or the songs, but it is not every time that the output turns out to be right.

However, Big B and Taapsee Pannu achieved success together in the film ‘Pink’(2016) that happens to be a crime drama as well.

In ‘Badla’, the plot is very much unalike to that of ‘Pink’ and weaves the web around a murder of a young man with whom the female lead Taapsee Pannu’s character is having a romantic connection apparently.

Taapse is charged with the murder that she claims she didn’t commit and hence arrives her saviour Mr. Bacchhan, a seasoned criminal lawyer.

Why ‘Badla’ Trailer is Becoming a National Favourite?

The Hindi film industry is frequently blamed for its inclination towards romantic comedies or dramatic tragedies, and the thriller lovers have always relied on the Hollywood flicks for giving all the greatest thrillers ever. But in the last few years, the scenario has been changing, and both Mr. Bacchhan and Taapsee have individually and together have worked in this very genre, and every time we have looked forward to it.

Namely, Amitabh Bachchan's ‘Te3n’(2016), Taapsee’s ‘Naam Shabana’(2017) were well received in the box office.

‘Badla’ director Sujoy Ghosh, whose ‘Kahaani’(2012) starring Vidya Balan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui which was again a suspense thriller, was highly appreciated for its engrossing storyline.

It seems Sujoy loves working on a complicated plot, as the ‘Badla’ trailer arises tension as well as some crucial questions directly related to the reel-murder.

Well crafted and well received… and once you have seen the trailer you can’t unsee it! (a ‘Slenderman’ reference, duh!) Now you have to rush to the theaters to know all the why’s and how’s. A Murderous March it is going to be!!!
