Keervani said that he grew up listening to Carpenters and therefore his acceptance speech was in the form of a rewritten Carpenters song.
It was tough competition as the RRR song had to beat other competent nominations like Lady Gaga's Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, Rihanna's Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, This Is A Life from Everything Everywhere All At Once, and Applause from Tell It Like A Woman.
Another win for the Indian entourage was The Elephant Whisperers which won Best Documentary Short Subject.
