Golden Globe Awards 2023: RRR Wins Best Original Song

It missed out in the Best Non-English Language Film which was won by Argentina, 1985 from Argentina. Other nominees in the category include All Quiet on the Western Front (Germany), Close (Belgium), Decision to Leave, (South Korea).
Composer M. M. Keeravani accepted the honor Tuesday night at the Beverly Hilton. He shares the win with lyricist Chandrabose.
“Thank you very much HFPA for this prestigious award,” Keeravani said onstage. “I’m really happy to share this excitement with my wife, who is sitting right there.”
Ahead of the award ceremony, the actor of the film Ram Charan who played a freedom fighter named Komaram Bheem in the flim indulged in a chat with the evening’s host, Marc Malkin, at this year’s Grey Carpet. When Ram was asked who got hurt the most in the action sequences, he brought up Naatu Naatu. “My knees still wobble talking about it. Ya, it was what it is, it is a beautiful torture and look where it got us! We are standing here, talking to you today on this carpet, thanks to it,” he said.
Sharing a picture of the music composer, Jr NTR too shared a congratulatory post after Naatu Naatu won the best song at Golden Globes. He wrote, “Congratulations Sirji on your well-deserved #GoldenGlobes award! I’ve danced to many songs throughout my career but #NaatuNaatu will forever stay close to my heart… #mmkeeravaani #rrrmovie.”
RRR, which made over ₹ 1,200 crore globally, has already won a slew of international honours including Best Director for Rajamouli at the New York Film Critics Circle awards. RRR has submitted itself for consideration in various Oscar categories as well and is expected to be nominated in at least one category if not more.
