‘Call Me Bae’ Featuring Ananya Panday Opens to Mixed Reviews on Amazon Prime Video

The web series ‘Call Me Bae’, starring Ananya Panday, is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

It has opened to mixed reviews!

The story revolves around a South Delhi girl, Bella (Ananya Panday), who is forced to fend for herself in the city of dreams ‘Mumbai’ after a fallout with her ultra-rich husband.

This change is not easy for her as she is too used to the luxuries of life, yet she embraces the change with a positive attitude.

To her good luck, Bella gains a group of friends, who are supportive and stand by her in difficult times, one of them being Saira Ali (Muskkan Jaferi), a five-star hotel employee.

The best aspect of Bella Chowdhary’s character is that she is a good-hearted person, and despite the challenges of finding a job, she keeps a positive attitude.

Her happiness knows no bounds when she gets a job in a media house quite effortlessly, as one of her videos goes viral on social media. In the bargain, she meets different kinds of people with varied personalities, from all walks of life at her workplace.

‘Call Me Bae’ is a light-hearted web series that caters more to the taste of the youth. It gives us a view of the current work culture, lifestyle, and how youngsters adapt to the competitive life these days.

The web series sends us a good message that with a positive attitude and a great support system in the form of friends, one can overcome the tough challenges in life, in a fast-paced city like Mumbai.

The storyline could have been more gripping, and the plot is weak at certain points.

‘Call Me Bae’ has been directed by Colin D’Cunha, produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, and written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nai.
