Wonder Woman 1984 Trailer is out and Brie Larson Shows Her Support
The Wonder Woman1984 trailer is out and everyone is excited about it. The trailer was presented by Gal Gadot herself at the 2019 Comic con held in São Paulo.
After the first movie released in 2017, fans were eagerly waiting for a sequel. When director Patty Jenkins was brought back, the idea of a sequel became a reality.
The trailer seems quite promising. It takes us back to the 1980s, the Cold War days.
The movie gives out a lot of the 80’s vibe. As the setting is during the period when pop music was at its heights, there is a lot of music from that time. There are many action sequences mostly centering around Gal Gadot. She is punching and kicking and stopping flying bullets and of course, there is the Truth lasso. Gal who plays the Amazonian princess, Diana Prince is seen wielding her lasso efficiently against her enemies. There is a lot to look forward to in the movie.
Needless to add, Gal Gadot is looking ravishing in her attire. The attire looks different from the previous movie as this one catches the eye with its shine and shimmer. The Golden Eagle armor looks magnificent.
The trailer gives us a glimpse of Diana’s handsome beau Steve Trevor, portrayed by Chris Pine. Though he is killed in the previous movie, he is seen once again as the movie takes us back to the nostalgic 1980s. His return is shrouded in mystery though. He is seen along with Diana knocking their enemies around and giving them a tough time.
The trailer also reveals new villains. Diana’s arch-nemesis, Cheetah will be seen in action in the movie. The role of Cheetah is being reprised by Kristen Wiig. And then we have Maxwell Lord played by Pedro Pascal.
In the trailer, Kristen is seen in normal clothes, however, in the poster, her clothes have a cheetah print which hints at her transformation into Wonder Woman’s arch-enemy. Wonder Woman sequel is shrouded in mystery and Cheetah’s costume is one of the mysteries that will be solved when the movie releases.
The trailer has found favor with Brie Larson who reprised the role of Captain Marvel. She has shown her support on social media by tweeting- "SIRI - HOW CAN I TIME TRAVEL TO JUNE 5TH 2020.”
It is good to see there is no rivalry between the DC and Marvel female superheroes. Even the fans feel so as Brie’s tweet received over 55k likes and 11.4k retweets.
Like Brie Larson, all of us would like to time travel to June 5 to see the mysteries of Wonder Woman 2 unravel.
The first movie was a huge hit, with its $821 million box office collections and we hope the sequel will exceed the first in numbers.
