Victoria Beckham Was Left Red Faced as Her Facebook Promotion Backfired

Victoria Beckham was left red-faced as her Facebook promotion backfired. Victoria completed ten years of her designer brand and to celebrate this occasion she launched an online tool that would answer questions via her profile. However, the step resulted in bad publicity as the robot that represented Victoria started producing embarrassing responses to questions posed by fans online. Most of the fans asked questions about the relationship between Posh and Beckham.

When asked, “Would divorcing David make you happy?” the automated Victoria replied “Very”.

And “Does David’s money make you happy?” also got the answer “Very”.

A few even asked about politics. When asked, “What do you think of Theresa May’s efforts to navigate Brexit?”, the chatbox replied with a thumbs-up.

When a fan asked, “Are you happy with David?” the robot replied, “I can’t tell you anything more”, and also displayed a zipped mouth emoticon. It also replied with a “shush” face when someone asked if she loves David.

Before the launch of the online tool, Victoria had been very ecstatic about the launch and had also informed her fans through social media that her team at Facebook were working on something special and extraordinary. In a video, she told millions of her fans, “I wanted to let you know that the incredible team at Facebook have created a chatbot version of me, Victoria Beckham, so I can virtually keep you up to date with everything that’s happening during London Fashion Week.”

Fans have been talking about these responses. This episode has probably been very unsettling for the Beckhams. They have been struggling hard to reassure the world that they are still strong as husband and wife. Earlier this year they were caught up in a controversy which led the world to believe that they were on the verge of a split. It all happened because a PR worker had sent untrue information through her work email which was made public. This had infuriated the couple and they fired the PR worker. They were also forced to issue a statement saying the rumors were false to put an end to the speculations and gossip. Reps for the couple said: “This is just fake social media news. This is all very bizarre and an embarrassing waste of time... There is no statement due, no divorce, and a lot of Chinese whispers and fake social media news.”

Victoria and David have been married for 19 years and they have four children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. Earlier this month in an interview to fashion magazine Victoria mentioned she and her husband were “stronger together”. In the interview, she said, “We both realize that we are stronger together than we are as individuals.” She also added, “Would either of us be in the position that we are in now had we not met and been together all those years ago? “It's all about the family unit, we are much stronger the six of us, than we would be if we were individuals.”

Victoria Beckham also talked about how her family deals with rumors about her marriage. She doesn’t shy away from discussing the rumors with her children. When rumors about their divorce were doing the rounds, Victoria sat with her children and assured them that all the rumors were false and they nothing to worry about.

Hopefully, this online tool’s embarrassing answers will not fuel the rumors again.
