She revealed that she used to have the concoction of bottle gourd, amla and turmeric (Haldi) on a daily basis however the day she feel sick it was bitter. She advised followers to avoid the juice if it is bitter.
She continued drinking the concoction despite its bitterness as she assumed it had more Vitamin C in it.

Bottle gourd (Lagenaria siceraria) is popularly known as Calabash, Lauki, White-flowered Gourd, New Guinea Bean and Tasmania Bean. It is known for its health benefits like regulating blood pressure, maintaining heart health, treating sleep disorders, aiding in digestion and so on.
Gourds contain cucurbitacins that are said to be toxic to cells in high concentration. There have been cases wherein people have died after consuming the bitter drink. The bitterness could be a result of over ripening or by not following proper storage methods. Generally the plant is not toxic when eaten in vegetable form.
