Storm Boris Brings Flood And Havoc to Europe. Residents Evacuated as Death Toll Rises

Central and Eastern Europe are facing excessive floods which have killed close to 20 people. Many countries in the region are expecting more rains which can create a catastrophic experience for the residents.

Europe has never faced such issues at least in the past 2 decades. Many rivers across the Czech Republic, Austria, and Slovakia were flooded and the bank levels have also risen to quite high levels. Currently, Poland and the Czech Republic have been hardly hit. Cars are underwater and several small bridges have collapsed.

The death toll till now is seven people from Romania who died because of high water levels, four have been declared dead in Poland, five in Austria, and three in the Czech Republic. While many more are still believed to be missing because of the current of the water.

Czech Police have also confirmed the death of one woman in the northern side of Europe where the border of Poland is shared. Complaints of seven more people drowning in the region have been reported on Tuesday. Three other people from Austria aged 81, 80, and 70 were found dead inside their respective homes. The cause of death was floods, reported by the Emergency services of the Czech Republic.

Emergency rescue operations are underway and all agencies have been deployed so that the victims can be evacuated and can be given shelter. While water levels have started to recede in many regions, the actual cost of damages is yet to be disclosed.
