Sonali Bendre Impresses Her Followers with yet Another Capturing Look
On Monday evening, Sonali Bendre shared a photo of herself on Instagram. It was quite refreshing to see the actress’ new look. Thanks to her new stylist Bokhee.
Sonali Bendre who is currently in New York undergoing cancer treatment thanked her new stylist Bokhee for giving her a new look. The actress was seen sporting a wig and we must say that Sonali carried the look pretty well. It was none other than Priyanka Chopra who introduced Bokhee to Sonali. Sonali was all praise for her new stylist and described Bokhee as "understanding and supportive.” She adds “She has been absolutely amazing; indulging me with various looks... short hair or long hair. She's been so understanding, supportive and empathetic throughout it all. Thank you so, so much."
The ‘Sarfarosh’ actress believes that vanity is not that bad as it is made out to be. She explains how we look has an immense effect on our psyche and if whatever you do makes you feel good then why not do it. “It's important to do what makes you happy, even if it's something as simple as wearing a wig, bright red lipstick, high heels.... All that white noise doesn't make a difference in the larger picture”, she adds.
While Bendre is undergoing treatment in New York, she’s making sure that she’s doing everything in her power to make herself feel better. One of them is her regular use of social media to express her thoughts and feelings on how she’s dealing with changes in life as a result of Cancer and its treatment. Recently she shared a powerful post on how she’s dealing with the pain as a result of her treatment. The journey was evidently tough.
In a powerful post, she revealed that she has experienced a mix of good and bad days. There were days when she was not able to even lift her finger. It hurt so much even when she laughed. It’s like a cycle which starts with all the physical pain which ultimately leads to emotional pain. Especially the days post surgery and post-chemo were painful.
There were days when she had to literally push past through and even though it was a draining battle, it was worth fighting for, she kept reminding herself. In the post, she explained that she allowed herself to soak up those negative feelings. “Emotions aren’t wrong.” She explains that experiencing negative feelings isn’t wrong, however over a period one should identify it and refuse to let it control your life. It takes a tremendous amount of self-care to get out of that zone, the inspiring and brave actress explains.
Now Sonali’s only mission is to get better and head back to her home in Mumbai. She aptly concludes her post saying “It’s yet another test…Student all my life…Learning all my life…
#OneDayAtATime.”
