Skiathos Airport Is the Place to Go for Aviation Enthusiasts
The Skiathos airport has become one of the Greek island’s most popular tourist hubs due to this low landing airport. It is dubbed as the craziest airport and popularly acquired the name “the European St Maarten.”
A video has been recently shared on YouTube that shows an airplane landing at the Skiathos airport in Greece closely whizpassing tourists’ heads. The channel called Cargospotter shared the video showing the Embraer E190 passing a little above tourists who were seen standing close to the beach.

Tourists from various countries come to this place to click selfies and enjoy the adventure whilst the planes fly closely and swiftly above them.
Speaking of the airport, “Airplanes land and depart right behind a small road and the airport of Skiathos became one of the main tourist attractions of the Greek island... Last week we filmed an incredible low British Airways Embraer E190 landing. The people who were watching the planes were pushed from the wall by the wake turbulence of the Embraer.”
