Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik Expecting Their First Baby

Sania Mirza, the celebrated Indian tennis star is expecting her first baby with husband Shoaib Malik, former captain of Pakistan cricket team.

She broke the news on social media, and her official profiles are overflowing with good wishes. India’s no.1 doubles player (till 2013), Sania Mirza is going to be a proud mommy and she shared the news with all her fans via a very cute post.

She’s put a hashtag to the post “#BabyMirzaMalik”, the news went online yesterday.

Although, initially Mirza was engaged to her childhood friend Sohrab Mirza, the wedding was called off and the queen of courts tied the knot with Pakistani cricket personality Shoaib Malik in 2010. Their marriage survived harsh criticisms by media and public, and turned out to be a perfect example that two souls can unite and live happily ever after, above national conflicts.

Sania Mirza is not only considered a successful sports figure who has made India proud on international fronts, but also a glamour icon. She is widely praised on and off court for her beauty and unique style.

The 31-year-old would be mom started her career in 2003. This offensive baseliner treasures in her kitty some win overs on Martina Hingis, Svetlana Kuznetsova, Dinara Safina, Victoria Azarenka among others. However, a wrist injury forced her to bid farewell to her singles career and focus on doubles only. She’s one of the highest paid Indian athletes.

Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza are considered a most high-profile and adorable couple, both in India and Pakistan. Malik’s Twitter handle also features the same ‘baby arriving’ post that his lovely wife shared.
