For those unfamiliar with the event, the India Parade is organized by the Federation of India Association in New York, observed annually on August 20th to commemorate India's Independence Day. Last year, Allu Arjun was recognized as the Grand Marshal at this significant India Day Parade. Samantha's current role as a leader in this year's parade stands as yet another source of pride for both India and the Indian film industry.
During her address, Samantha expressed, "Jai Hind. It's an honor to be here today. You guys made me realise how rich my culture and heritage is. Things I saw today will stay with me forever. Thank you for supporting me all these years. Thank you, USA for supporting every film of mine as your own."
On the professional front, Samantha's film "Kushi" is set to release on September 1st. Additionally, she is involved in the Indian adaptation of "Citadel." In this spy-thriller series created by Raj and DK, Samantha will share the screen with Varun Dhawan. Her most recent appearance was in the film "Shaakuntalam."
