Ratan Tata Wishes His German Shepherd on Its 14th Birth Anniversary on Instagram
On joining Instagram, he said, “I don't know about breaking the internet, but I am so excited to join all of you on Instagram!”
Industrialist Ratan Tata who is known to keep far from social media joined Instagram on Wednesday.
Within a few days of joining the photo-sharing site, Ratan Tata got more than 5 lakh followers which shows that the popularity of the 81-year-old is only increasing by the day.
On joining Instagram, he said, “I don't know about breaking the internet, but I am so excited to join all of you on Instagram!”
The industrialist is a great dog lover and thus he took the opportunity to wish his late German shepherd on its 14th birth anniversary on the platform.
He added, “Today would be the 14th birthday of my late dog, Tito. I still come home to two kind souls and meet so many others in and around the office.”
Through his post, he intended to send a message to all animal lovers especially those who are fond of dogs. “Those of you who strive for the welfare of the voiceless, truly have my respect”, he said.
Tata’s followers responded with the following comments: “You are an angel Mr. @ratantata and this is a wonderful post.” Another follower commented, “You have always been an inspiration, sir.”
Ratan Tata’s love for dogs was apparent when headquarters of the Tata group- ‘Bombay House’ was restored and a special kennel was dedicated to the upkeep of stray dogs. Prior to the Kennel, the dogs could be seen hanging around in the reception area or in the security guard’s cabin.
The new Kennel, however, caters to all the needs of these stray dogs. The room is well equipped with toys, dog bowls, chewies and their daily meat comes in from the kitchens of Taj.
The flap door at the base of the main door in the kennel makes it easy for the animals to come and go.
Ratan Tata who is known to shy away from public life promised to create a strong bond with the community and keep his followers engaged through his new profile on Instagram.
