Rahul Roy is Clueless about How He Got Covid- 19, Despite Only Being at Home

Actor Rahul Roy took to his Instagram to share the news that he and his family have been tested positive for the coronavirus.
The strange thing about the post on his Insta Handle is that he and his family have been under 14-day quarantine and have never mingled with people.
Despite taking all precautions, the test results turned out to be positive for him and his family and this leaves him perplexed.
In his lengthy Insta post he explained that as a neighbour tested positive, his flat’s floor was sealed. He had to remain under quarantine for 14 days. His family never mingled with people and neither did they step out for walks.
Since he and his family had to travel to New Delhi on April 11, they took the RTPCR test from the Metropolis Lab on 7th April only to receive test results on 10th April that concluded that all family members are positive.
The same day the BMC officials were carrying the antigen test for the whole society, so Rahul’s family decided to take the antigen test again, and surprisingly the results turned out negative.
They again did the RTPCR test, this time however the samples went to a different lab called Suburban lab. The test results are still awaited.
Meanwhile, BMC officials sanitized Rahul’s home, made him sign isolation forms, and a doctor called suggesting that he get hospitalized. That said, Rahul told the doctor that he had no physical symptoms. The doctor then advised him to take medicines and maintain a chart of his oxygen levels.
Rahul’s story is an eye-opener that there could be discrepancies in testing results too. All he can do right now is wait for his second quarantine period to be over. He would redo tests again, hoping it to be negative.
One question that still remains answered is how Rahul and his family got infected despite being at home, not meeting anyone, and not even going for walks.
Rahul finally ended his post on a positive note saying, “For all of you, wear your masks, wash your hands, stay clean. And I hope you do not contract the virus staying inside the house. Hope to be back soon with negative reports. Love you all.”
In November 2020, while shooting for the upcoming film LAC – Live the Battle in Kargil, the ‘Aashiqui’ actor had a brain stroke. He was shifted from Kargil to Srinagar. He was later shifted to Nanavati hospital in Mumbai and finally to Wockhardt hospital where he was diagnosed with motor aphasia (the inability to speak or to organize the muscular movements of speech). He was discharged from the hospital in January.
