Leader Rahul Gandhi visited Kerela to try the longest zipline, which may help promote tourism in the state. His video went viral on social media as the congress leader took a day off from the poll campaigns. He aimed to showcase the beauty and scenic adventures of the Kerela post the landslide disaster. Rahul Gandhi was also seen asking his sister to join the zipline in a joking manner.

Rahul Gandhi interacted with the sports organizers who had to completely shut down after the deadly landslide as tourism in the state had reduced to a higher extent. Despite the natural calamities, Rahul Gandhi claims, Kerela to be one of the best tourist attractions.

 While discussing the recent landslide, Rahul Gandhi claims he recent landslide has left tourism hanging by a thread and livelihoods are suffering. From shopkeepers to homestay, everyone is working hard just to keep things going. Hearing their stories, I felt both deep concern for their struggles and immense admiration for their resilience

He also admired the passion and dedication of the people after the landslide as they left no stone unturned to restore tourism. Moreover, their unwavering motivation has helped in the development of the longest zip line. He further claimed “This is more than politics for me; the people of Wayanad have truly won a place in my heart. Priyanka and I have taken it up as a mission to make Wayanad a top destination in Kerala. Wayanad embodies the best of India”

Priyanka Gandhi was also seen enjoying the company of her brother and also claimed to help in developing tourism in Wayanad. She also believes that landslide have been one of the challenging reasons behind poor tourism in the state.
