Raghav Chadha Recovering from Complex Eye Surgery; Parineeti Chopra Is with Him

AAM Aadmi Party member Raghav Chadha is currently in London. He underwent a complex eye surgery after a defect was identified in one of his retina. Complications could have led to the loss of his eye vision.

NDTV was told by a relative of the politician that the surgery was risky and there was no assurance that the operation would be successful. Fortunately, the surgery went smoothly and now Raghav Chadha is on the road to recovery.

“His eyesight is perfect. He is in London, but not in a hospital. He has been advised bed rest, and to avoid stepping out or going in sunlight. The treatment is ongoing, and it includes eye drops and medication. He has to visit the doctor twice a week for eye tests and checkups. He will come to India only when doctors give him a go-ahead. He is trying to contribute to work from bed while healing, but it will take a few more weeks for him to return to work physically,” the relative added.

According to an India Today report, Parineeti Chopra is already in London to supervize his condition. The relative mentioned that despite Parineeti’s hectic work schedule, she’s frequenting London and has been visiting the Doctor along with Raghav.

The announcement of Raghav Chaddha’s surgery in the UK was first made by Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj. He had expressed concern over Raghav’s absence from AAP party’s election campaign activities. “Raghav Chadha has undergone a major eye surgery in the UK. It is said that his condition was serious and there was a possibility of blindness. As soon as he gets better, he will come back to India and join us in the election campaigning”, Saurabh Bharadwaj told PTI.

Parineeti Chopra was last seen in Amar Singh Chamkila directed by Imtiaz Ali. The movie which also features Diljit Dosanjh has been receiving positive reviews from viewers.
