Twenty nine year old Nasreen fell into a gorge in Maharashtra while she was taking a selfie. A rope was thrown to rescue her, and a man descended to pull her to a secure place. Rescue mission goes viral.
A 29 year old woman from Pune fell into a 100 feet deep gorge in Maharashtra on Saturday evening.
The incident took place in Borne Ghat, Maharashta, while she was taking selfies with friends.
Rescuers threw a thick rope down the gorge while another person went down to rescue her.
The woman named Nasreen distinctly looked terrified while she was being pulled up from the gorge. At last, there were a group of mountaineers who brought her to safety.
Nasreen is a resident of Pune. Some reports suggest that she fell down while taking a selfie, while there are others who give a contradictory version.
The video of her risky rescue mission by the home guard, the mountaineers and the locals is now going viral.
Weeks earlier, 26 year old Instagram influencer Aanvi Kamdar, lost her life when she fell 350 feet from a Hillock near Kumbh waterfall. She was with a seven member group who alerted rescue teams post the tragic incident.
These cases affirm that travellers, especially social media influencers, who make reels, need to take safety precautions while creating videos especially in rainy weather and where the terrain is dangerous.
As for Nasreen, she sustained injuries and has been admitted to a hospital. Her condition is said to be stable.
