Mild Earthquake in Kolkata and Other North Bengal Districts, Epicentre in Assam!
Today morning, mild earthquake struck Kolkata at 5.5 magnitude, residents are terrified! Originated in Kokrajhar, Assam.
Kolkata has recently felt an earthquake strike, around 10:20 in the morning.
Several local news channel studios felt the tremors while having live chat sessions.
As per sources, the quake originated in Kokrajhar, Assam, 13 Kilometers beneath the surface, to be exact.
Experts informed, the quake was of 5.5 magnitude on Richter Scale.
The earthquake lasted for about 25-30 seconds in Kolkata. No report of losses yet!
Several districts of North Bengal including Maldah, North Dinajpur and adjacent states like Bihar and Jharkhand also felt the shake.
As the earthquake struck, terror spread all across the city of joy. People rushed out of the buildings and started reaching out to friends and families over calls.
