MiG 29 Crashes Near Agra, Spirals Before Hard Crashing on The Ground

An Indian Airforce MiG 29 was seen spinning before it crashed on the ground. A video of the incident is making rounds on social media. The video narrates the horrific accident in which the flight tried to regain control but could not and ended up in flames as soon as it hit the ground. A large crowd gathered near the crash site but later it was under protection by the Military.

The incident occurred on Saturday when the IAF jet faced a system malfunction leading to a spin and an uncontrollable crash. IAF has shown concerns regarding the malfunction and is trying to identify more in-depth reasons behind the crash of the aircraft.

"A MiG-29 aircraft of the IAF crashed near Agra during a routine training sortie today, after encountering a system malfunction. The pilot maneuvered the aircraft to ensure no damage to life or property on the ground, before ejecting safely. An inquiry has been ordered by the IAF, to ascertain the cause of the accident," claimed one of the IAF personnel.

The pilot of the jet aircraft had successfully evacuated the aircraft through an emergency evacuation string. The pilot is not seen in the video but the onlookers have seen the pilot gliding through the air and trying to land safely in a land. He also ensured the aircraft was being dropped in a less populated area to avoid casualties. The pilot later landed safely at Baha village.

Recently another case of MiG crash was reported which had a similar reason as the IAF stated a technical snag that led to the MiG crash in September in Rajasthan’s Barmer. Fighter jets of IAF undergo strong technological developments for which there are many different systems upgraded. IAF will have to assess aircraft thoroughly to deploy safely.
