While most children at Max Alexander’s age are busy playing, this young designer creates waves in the fashion industry at just eight. He has gone viral for his incredible dress-making skills.

Max Alexander developed a penchant for fashion at the age of four, and since then, there has been no turning back for him. His mother was taken aback by the creations he came up with at such a young age.

He has sewn more than 100 custom couture gowns since then. Max has even dressed celebrities like Sharon Stone and Debra Messing. He has hosted runway shows. This has rightly earned him a place in the Guinness World Record for the youngest runway fashion designer.

After his New York Fashion Week show he told PEOPLE magazine, “I thought I would be like 10 by the time that would happen or maybe more.” Interestingly, the child prodigy believes that he was the founder of a fashion house in his past life.

Max has more than 3 million followers on Instagram. Many followers find his energy infectious. Despite his young age, he’s environmentally conscious and strongly believes in sustainability. He loves to transform old textiles and he’s against productions that waste material. At the New York Fashion Week, he created a dress made of recycled ties!

The designer attends a small private school in Southern California, his favourite subjects being art, science, maths, science and gym. He works on his sewing projects at night or on the weekends.

Despite his achievements, he is playful and child-like.This young child’s talents, skills and enigmatic creations clearly prove that age is just a number!
