A 41-year-old Odia lady by the name of Madhusmita Jena Das has completed a marathon wearing an attractive red Sambalpuri saree coupled with orange sneakers.
Running a marathon requires skill, determination, and strength. That said, running clad in a saree can be a daunting task for most of us.
A 41-year-old Odia lady by the name of Madhusmita Jena Das has completed a marathon wearing an attractive red Sambalpuri saree coupled with orange sneakers.
She covered a distance of 42.5 km in 4 hours and 50 minutes.
In a Twitter image Madhusmita can be seen smiling and running comfortably in the handloom saree while friends and family kept cheering on.
Online viewers have appreciated her unique feat.

Madhusmita Jenna is an experienced marathon runner. She has participated in many marathons and ultra marathons. She is a high school teacher in Manchester and is also a part of the North West England Odia community. Her husband works in Egypt and she’s a mother to two sons.
