I’m alive and well and resting in peace at home haha”.
Singer Lucky Ali took to his Instagram stories to squash rumours that he died due to Covid.
He tweeted, “Hi everyone just addressing the rumours.
I’m alive and well and resting in peace at home haha”.
He further added, “Hope you all are staying in and staying safe. May God protect us all during this devastating time.”
Rumours of his death began doing the rounds on social media platforms on Tuesday.
It was his close friend Nafisa Ali who laid the rumours to rest. She told ETimes, “He is fine. He does not have COVID. In fact, he has antibodies. He is busy planning his music and concerts. We were talking about virtual concerts happening and all such things. He is on his farm in Bengaluru and his family is there with him. I just spoke to him, everybody is fine.”
Lucky Ali rose to stardom with the album ‘Sunoh’ in 1996. Fans found his music soulful, unique, and distinctive.
For those unaware, the album featured his first wife Meghan Jane McCleary from New Zealand. Remember the beautiful woman draped in blue in the album! That was her.
The album won numerous awards and also got nominated for the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards. Later he released other albums such as Sifar, Kabhi Aisa Lagta Hai, Aks, and so on. Most of his albums did reasonably well.
He soon ventured into Bollywood and received an award for Best Male Playback Singer for the song ‘Ek Pal Ka Jeena’ from the film ‘Kaho Na Pyar Hai.’
Lucky Ali has married thrice and has even told his wives that he’s not a ‘one-woman man.’
He’s also a jack of all trades. He’s worked in an oil rig off the coast of Pondicherry, bred horses, cleaned and sold carpets, and worked as an organic farmer. That said, his followers will always remember him for his enchanting music and melodious voice. We are glad that the singer is doing well during the pandemic and may he continue to fascinate his followers with his singing talents.
