Korean Actress Jung Chae Yull of Zombie Detective Fame Passes Away at 26

Korean actress and model Jung Chae Yull known for her work in the K web series ‘Zombie Detective’ has passed away at the age of 26. 

As per a report in Koreaboo publication the young actress was found dead at her home on April 11. 

The news of her passing away was confirmed in a statement by her agency Management S. 

The agency has requested the media not to spread rumours or speculate about her death until they confirm the details of her death. 

The statement read, “Today, we are relaying sorrowful and heartbreaking news. Actress Jung Chae-Yul left our side on April 11, 2023. In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family who must have been in greater sadness than anyone else, the funeral will be held quietly in private. Please wish for Jung Chae Yull, who had always been earnest in her pursuit of acting, to rest in peace in a warm place. We earnestly request that you refrain from writing speculative articles or spreading rumours.”

The actress was shooting for the upcoming drama series ‘Wedding Impossible.’ According to reports the crew of the series stopped filming after receiving the news of her death. The team has offered their condolences.

Jung began her career by modelling. She then turned towards acting. She starred in the fashion reality TV series ‘Devil’s Runway’ in 2016. The actress made her debut with ‘Deep’. She became well known for her performance in ‘Zombie Detective’ where she played the role of Bae Yoonmi. Jung was also seen in the drama ‘I Have Not Done My Best Yet.’
