The piece was auctioned by Sotheby's, the auction house on Wednesday. Four bidders competed to buy the pendant however it was Kim who became the owner of the cross.
The jewellery is an eye catching piece worn by the Princess at a charity gala and many other occasions.
The pendant was first bought by businessman Naim Attallah in the 1980s who loaned it to Diana several times as a result of their friendship.
The exquisite piece of art consists of a square cut amethyst surrounded by circular cut diamonds.It reportedly weighs 5.25 carats approximately.
It was made in the 1920s by British Jeweller Garrad.
Diana had worn this piece of jewellery at a time when she divulged from her usual romantic fashion choices to a bolder look.
Kardashian paid a whopping $197,453 for the jewel. It is believed that the piece crossed its estimated price.
