Kerala CM's Car Collides with Multiple Others in The Convoy to Save A Scooter Rider
Kerela CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s convoy gets stuck in multi-collision with cars. A rider took immediate right without any warning. Minor damage to the car but no fatalities were reported.
Kerela Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s convoy collided with other cars as the convoy was trying to save a scooter. The incident happened in Thiruvananthapuram when the pilot car braced hard as it noticed a two-wheeler. No major fatalities have been reported apart from some minor damage caused to CM’s car. He continued his journey smoothly and no disruption was found.
The incident video went viral on social media where a woman was trying to take a right from the middle of the road. A white SUV is seen braking hard to stop the vehicle; however, because of the short distance, the vehicles could not stop, and close to 6 more vehicles collided and tailgated serially.
The video also shows the security personnel getting out of the car and inspecting the vehicle. Moreover, the ambulance driver also rushed to CM’s car in case he needed any form of assistance. CM had traveled to Kottayam and was returning to his home. The incident happened near Vamanapuram, Thiruvananthapuram.
Authorities are taking strong action so that such incidents do not happen in the future. The safety of the CM’s convoy is a major aspect of any state. However, such incidents may happen because of the irresponsibility of other drivers and riders on the road.
Authorities are also trying to assess various CCTV footage through which the exact reason behind the carelessness of the rider can be identified.
