Katy Perry and Dua Lipa Captivate Audiences at the OnePlus Music Festival in Mumbai
She sang her popular tracks such as Last Friday Night, Supernatural, California Gurls, I kissed a girl and Bon Appetit. The singer concluded the concert with her all-time popular tracks- Roar and Firework.
Katy Perry stole the show at Mumbai’s D Y Patil Stadium with her first-ever concert in Mumbai on Saturday. The ‘Roar’ singer was infused with unending energy and was dressed ever so brightly in an animal printed green jumpsuit. She began the concert by saying that “Today, I will sing every song you love” and she sure kept to her word.
She sang her popular tracks such as Last Friday Night, Supernatural, California Gurls, I kissed a girl and Bon Appetit. The singer concluded the concert with her all-time popular tracks- Roar and Firework.
The event began at 3 pm and people from different age groups were gathered for the spectacular event. The Mumbai crowd was pretty enthusiastic and kept cheering the singers till the end.
Speaking to the audience Katy said, “Hello, I am Katy Perry and I am told that this is your winter. You know what, you have been cheering for me. You should give yourselves a round of applause. She added, “It's been 7 years since I was last in India. I can't believe myself. Look how many people showed up. I dedicate this song to you guys.” She goes ahead and dedicates the song ‘One of the boys’ to the audience.
Dua Lipa, Amit Trivedi, Ritviz and The Local Train also performed at the OnePlus Music Festival. The event was Dua Lipa’s first-ever performance in India!
The ‘New Rules’ singer was pretty excited to see the huge Mumbai crowd and said, “Mumbai, how you feeling?” She then went ahead and said, “I am so excited. I didn’t imagine there will be so many people. Are you ready for the party?” The model turned singer sang all her popular tracks like New Rules, One Kiss, Scared to be Lonely and her latest track, Dancing with Somebody.
While Katy was in Mumbai she even attended a party hosted by Karan Johar on Thursday night. The biggies of Bollywood who gave her company were Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Gauri Khan, Kajol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Ananya Panday and so on.
On the whole, the OnePlus Festival was a huge success. Both Katy Perry and Dua Lipa left no stone unturned to keep the Mumbai audience alive and rocking. Both the singers bid farewell to the city of dreams after their scintillating performances at the music festival in Mumbai.
