JioBook: Reliance Launches Affordable Laptop with MediaTek SoC in India
Reliance launches JioBook, an affordable laptop with MediaTek SoC. The laptop is priced at ₹16,499 and will be available starting August 5 across Reliance Digital's online and offline stores. JioBook will also be available on Amazon.
Reliance Retail unveiled the JioBook for the year 2023 on Monday, a cost-effective laptop designed to cater to all age groups, as stated by the company. The JioBook is powered by JioOS, which boasts 4G LTE and Wi-Fi capabilities.
The 2023 JioBook boasts an 11.6-inch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1366x768. The laptop comes in a blue matte finish, weighing a mere 990 grams, according to Jio's claims.
Under the hood, the JioBook runs on a MediaTek (MT 8788) octa-core chipset clocked at 2.0 GHz, accompanied by 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB using an SD card. Additionally, the laptop features built-in USB, HDMI, and audio ports for enhanced connectivity.
For video conferencing needs, the JioBook is equipped with a 2MP web camera. It also supports Bluetooth 5.0 and above, ensuring seamless wireless connectivity.
Powered by a Li-ion battery, the laptop promises a battery life of up to 8 hours, as per Jio's claims, and the charger is included in the package. The JioBook also features stereo speakers for an enhanced audio experience.
The JioBook has been competitively priced at ₹16,499 and will be made available starting August 5 through Reliance's Digital online and offline stores, as well as on Amazon.
