Ivanka Trump’s official role will end on Wednesday.
In the statement, Ivanka expressed that she is proud of what her team has achieved so far and she is excited about the future. “I came to Washington to fight for American families and I leave feeling I’ve done that”, she wrote.
She has requested all the Americans to pray for the success of Biden’s administration.
Ivanka wished President-Elect Joe Biden, his spouse Jill Biden, Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris, and other officials by saying, “May God give wisdom, courage and strength” to the new members.
On the last day as the First Daughter, Ivanka Trump wore a $4,600 black asymmetrical Alexander McQueen coat. She paired the complete back dress with a black floral mask and black stilettos.
It is said that the somber look was deliberate. A move which is said to reflect her feelings in the last few hours in the White House.
Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner will not return to New York City which is also their hometown.
Donald Trump will leave Washington without greeting Joe Biden and without attending the new President’s swearing-in ceremony. He will be the first President in 150 years to do so. There will be a departure ceremony for Donald Trump, the same day President-Elect Joe Biden will take oath.
