Italy International Footballer Davide Astori Dead at 31

Club Fiorentina captain Davide Astori is dead and he was just 31. He passed away on 3rd March night in his sleep. The world of football mourns.

The tragic death of club Fiorentina captain Davide Astori has let the entire Fiorentina team in shock. He was found dead in his hotel room. Cause of death is supposed to be cardiac arrest during sleep. Astori’s body has been sent for autopsy.

As per sources, Astori used to be the first to attend the team breakfast. On Sunday 4rth March the breakfast was held at 9:30am but the captain didn’t turn up. David Astori’s massage therapist also didn’t get him over phone.

Undoubtedly an immense tragedy for the Fiorentina team, as well as the world of football. He leaves behind her long-term girlfriend Francesca Fioretti. A model and their two-year-old daughter.

Davide Astori, born in 1987, Italy started his football career with a local team Pontisola and later moved to AC Milan in 2001. This left footed central defender signed with Fiorentina in 2015. On 4rth of March Astori had his next game against Udinese scheduled.

But, life is unpredictable indeed!

Astori’s body showed no warning signs or no signs of illness. He went to bed perfectly fit and fine. All fans are eagerly waiting for the autopsy reports.
