The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has unveiled a pair of images captured by the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft, showcasing remarkable perspectives of both Earth and the Moon. The initial photograph captures a striking view of our planet, taken on July 14th through the lens of the Lander Imager (LI) Camera. This event coincided with the launch of the Chandrayaan-3 mission from the prestigious Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
In a subsequent visual testament to its capabilities, the spacecraft's Lander Horizontal Velocity Camera (LHVC) seized a captivating image of the Moon on August 6th.

The Lander Imager (LI) Camera originates from the ingenious efforts of the Space Applications Centre (SAC), situated in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Similarly, the development of the Lander Horizontal Velocity Camera (LHVC) can be attributed to the Laboratory for Electro-Optics Systems (LEOS), located in the dynamic city of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
In a preceding reveal, ISRO had already treated the public to a captivating video exhibiting the Moon's appearance as witnessed by the Chandrayaan-3 during the pivotal Lunar Orbit Insertion on August 1st.
Keeping the momentum of their accomplishments, on August 9th, ISRO proficiently executed the third orbit reduction maneuver for Chandrayaan-3, propelling the spacecraft to a proximity of just 1,437 kilometers away from its lunar target. This significant step underscores ISRO's dedication and expertise in pushing the boundaries of space exploration.
