ISIS Planning Deadly Attacks on Europe Says Report
The attacks would be fully funded and controlled by ISIS leaders, who are actively involve in the plan to recreate the Paris-style attack of November 2015.
According to a leading British newspaper report, the ISIS, popularly known as the Islamic State is regrouping and plotting deadly attacks across the whole of Europe. The attack will be carried out on the lines of 2015 concert attack in Paris in which 130 people were killed.
The Sunday Times revealed in its report a secret document with detail plans of terrorist attacks in Europe and the Middle East. The attacks would be fully funded and controlled by ISIS leaders, who are actively involved in the plan to recreate the Paris-style attack of November 2015.
In 2015 Paris witnessed a series of coordinated terror attacks in many parts of the city but the worst hit of the attack was city’s northern suburb of Saint-Denis. Three suicide bombers first attacked the Stade de France stadium during a football match, followed by several mass shootings and suicide bombing. Finally at the Bataclan concert hall where 130 people were killed.
The report says, “The operations in Europe are only a fraction of the plans outlined in the documents, which were found on a hard drive dropped by members of an ISIS cell in a firefight near the terrorists final stronghold in Syria earlier this year”.
The documents thus reveal, how, even after its so-called caliphate is destroyed in Syria, the ISIS terror group continues to run their sophisticated international networks, move fighters across the borders, fund operations, plan bank robberies, assassinations and computer hacking.
The document is comprised of a letter, which is addressed to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, ‘caliph’ of the group and his deputy and signed by six ISIS leaders. The author of the report breaks down ISIS strategy abroad into two parts, operations and borders.
The operations abroad will be directed by an ISIS member called Abu Khabab al-Muhajir through their three cells one in Russia and two in Germany says the document. The first aim of the cells would be to raise money to fund the caliphate. Apart from this, the cells will plan ‘special operations’ with a ‘determined goal and outcome that are picked carefully’.
The author of the report has listed the Paris massacre of 2015 and the Manhattan attack of 2017, where a terrorist driven truck mowed down eight people, as their ‘inspiration’. The newspaper also claims that a picture found with the document is that of an ISIS supporter in Europe.
