Is The Tesla Cybertruck Explosion in Las Vegas Linked to The Orleans Truck Ramming Incident? Joe Biden Clarifies
Two Incidents were reported, a Truck Rammed in the crowd in Orleans and a Cybertruck explosion in Las Vegas. Elon Musk to investigate the matter as Authorities suspect linkage between the two incidents.
A Tesla Cybertruck was under fire before it exploded opposite the Hotel owned by Donald Trump in Las Vegas. The explosion killed one person and injured 7 people. According to the police, the steel truck was parked near the hotel and caught fire before it exploded. Elon Musk on his X platform claimed “Appears likely to be an act of terrorism. Both this Cybertruck and the F-150 suicide bomb in New Orleans were rented from Turo. Perhaps they are linked in some way,”.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and the fire department confirmed the death of a person sitting in the Cybertruck and the injuries of 7 people who were given immediate medical attention. The fire started around 8:40 am near the valet area of the hotel. An official also claimed that the truck was rented and was carrying some fireworks, which caused the vehicle to catch fire.
Elon Musk also said that the entire senior team of Tesla is investigating the matter on their own to find the possible reason for the fire. Before the explosion, the car experienced small fumes and sparks looking like fireworks. “The first one where we saw the fire, the second one, I guess, was the battery or something like that, and the third was the big one that smoked the entire area and was the moment when everyone was told to evacuate and stay away,” said one of the tourists, Anna Bruce.
Earlier on the same day a truck rammed into a crowd near New Orleans and killed 10 people post which he was shot by the police for security concerns. The said person is identified as Shamsud-Din-Jabbar, a Military veteran. The FBI started an investigation and it revealed that ramming a truck in a crowded destination cannot be done alone and other minds are simultaneously working behind. However, the pieces of evidence collected by the FBI have not been disclosed yet.
New Orleans police officials claimed that a car was driving at a very high speed and broke all the barricades. Once, the car stopped, the driver of the car jumped out and opened fire on the officers on standby. The accused, Jabbar, had rented out the Ford F-150 truck from an app called Turo.
The Cybertruck that was engulfed in flames was also rented out through the Turo app. Hence, the Federal units and the investigations teams are trying to identify if there was any connection with these two incidents. Joe Biden confirmed that there is no direct relation with the incident and are totally isolated from each other.
