Indian Student Syed Mazahir Ali Is Attacked by Robbers in Chicago

Another Indian student, Syed Mazahir Ali, was attacked in the United States of America on February 4 .

The victim shared a video where he could be seen bleeding profusely from his nose and mouth after he was attacked by robbers.

The accused attacked him near his Chicago home. They punched him in the eye and hit him in the face, ribs and back.

“Four people attacked me when I was returning home. I slipped near my house and they kicked and punched me, Please help me bro, please help me”, Mr Ali was heard saying in the video.

Mr Ali was pursuing his master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. He moved to America six months ago.

Syed Ali’s wife has written a letter to Foreign Minister S Jaishankar to ensure that he gets proper treatment and medical care.

“I am very much worried about safety and security of my husband in Chicago, USA. I request you to kindly help him in getting best medical treatment and if possible kindly make necessary arrangements so I can travel to USA along with my three minor children to be with my husband,” her letter read.

She has requested for an emergency visa to visit her husband.

An ABC report says that he was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for cuts and bruises.
