India to Sign 32,000 Crore Deal with USA for Predator Drones
India to enhance its defense power as it is about to sign a 32,000 crore deal with the US for 31 predator drones.
India’s defense power will strengthen as it signs a deal worth 32,000 crore to acquire predator drones and establish maintenance and repair facilities. A total of 21 predator drones have been ordered, and India is about to sign the deal today.
The Cabinet Committee of Security approved the order and is all set to sign the deal. Out of the 31 drones, 15 will be allocated to Indian Airforce, Indian Army, and Navy to receive 6 each as per the MRO agreement to be signed today.
Officials from the American military and corporate people will be attending the signing event along with directors and top officials of the Naval system. The deal was long awaited as this was supposed to be signed on October 31st.
The drones will be stationed near INS Rajali which is close to Chennai and Porbandar and might act as a strategic location to transfer the drones to different sectors of Indian Defence systems.
The number of drones ordered was post to a scrutiny of the existing infrastructure and its usability. A significant change experienced by the Indian defense system as unmanned drones can be used in certain high-security areas.
