Veteran winner of the 2018 Asian Games, Vinesh Phogat created history yet again by making her way to Women's Wrestling. Yusneylis Guzman Lopez was defeated by Phogat making her the first Indian to qualify for the Olympics Final’s wrestling. Vinesh defeated Yui Susaki of Japan before disqualifying Oksana Livach of Ukraine

Vinesh demonstrated superior power and control over her moves, keeping the social media users in a stunning spur. Vigesh had ensured amazing control of the match making the scoreboard 5-0. Her immense strategy and planning of the match enhanced the overall experience.

Vinesh Phogat was about the wrestling Sarah Ann Hildebrandt of the USA to win the Olympics Final wrestling match, She was also seen saying “Gold Laana hai” and seemed pretty determined to obtain at least a Silver.

Recently through sources, It was found that Vinesh Phogat was disqualified by Paris Olympics 2024 for being Overweight. Her immense strong performance in the Semi-finals had assured her position in the Finals. Her disqualification from the Olympics disheartened many Indians.

Vinesh was leading with 1-0 in the first half during her Semifinals. Her domination throughout the second half, helped her maintain her position on the leaderboard. However, her medal might not represent power, but it would become a gateway of access for future generations of wrestlers. In a conversation with Bajrang Punia, Vinesh claimed his support to be an extraordinary feature throughout the 18-month journey.

"She told me I am fighting for the future generation of wrestlers. Not for myself, my career is done and this is my last Olympics. I want to fight for the young women wrestlers who will come and fight for them so that they can wrestle safely. That's why I was in Jantar Mantar, and that's why I am here." concluded Bajrang Puniya.

Despite having such a great performance, she could not make it to the Finals because her weight was 100 grams more than required. She reported did everything to maintain the weight however, the cause could be the pressure from sleepless nights.

“It is with regret that the Indian contingent shares news of the disqualification of Vinesh Phogat from the Women’s Wrestling 50kg class. Despite the best efforts by the team through the night, she weighed in a few grams over 50kg this morning” concluded Team India.
