Harry Styles Gets Hit in The Eye While Performing in Vienna; Incident Sparks Outrage

English singer and songwriter Harry Styles has become a victim of an unfortunate accident on stage while he was performing for the ‘Love On Tour’ concert in Vienna.

An object thrown by an unknown individual struck his eye while he was on stage.

After the object struck his face, he bent forward and covered his face with hands. The video shows that he was clearly in pain. After taking stock of himself he walked on.

The video footage of the singer which was recorded by a concert goer is pretty distressing and the footage has spread across all social media platforms.

The ‘As It Was’ singer has maintained silence after this incident leaving fans curious about his well being.

The incident has even sparked outrage among fans and has raised the topic of concert etiquette.

This is how some fans commented:

“I guess performers r gonna have to wear safety glasses & body armor onstage to protect themselves now, maybe put up a wire fence in front of the stage like they do in some wild honky tonk bars where customers throw beer bottles etc at the band-”

“And these people are fans who claim to love him.”

“Horrific behavior.... what the hell is wrong with people.....”

“This person must have been close to him to throw and hit him, so they waited all day and most likely camped just to hurt him?! Celebs will stop performing live and push the audience further away from them if people dont stop!”

“Whoever is throwing is going to RUIN concerts for everyone. Singers are going to have to start doing concerts with shields now!!!”

This is not the first time that an artist has been attacked on stage. A new trend has been emerging wherein artists have become regular victims of objects being thrown at them.

While singer Bebe Rexha was performing at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York. she was struck by a phone. She collapsed on stage due to the incident. The ‘I’m good’ singer had to be hospitalised after the freak incident. The accused was later arrested.

Keeping the above incidents in mind, protection and security is a must for all artists who are performing on stage for our entertainment. Strict rules need to be imposed for all concert goers as it is evident that the behaviour of crowds has become horrific and unpredictable these days.
