Famous golfer Tiger Woods met with an accident on Tuesday that could’ve taken a serious turn. Woods was on a long winding road in Hawthorne Avenue when his SUV got onto the wrong side of the road and flipped onto a hillside.
He suffered multiple leg injuries. A neighbour called 911 on time and he received adequate medical help. He was the only person in the car at the time of the accident.
On the scene, Woods was able to communicate with the emergency authorities. Rescue officials said that he was calm. Since he was trapped in the car, rescuers were able to get him out via the windshield.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stated that the crash occurred at 7:12 am near the border of Rolling Hills Estate and Rancho Palos Verdes. By 7:28 m the rescuers reached the site of the accident.
LACSD rescue authorities stated that the interiors of the car were intact and wearing the seat belt helped Woods avert a very serious accident which “otherwise would have been a fatal crash.”
Woods was driving a Genesis GV80.
