Girl Falls off Terrace While Collecting Clothes, Dies

A girl in Chennai does after she falls from the apartment terrace. The building is situated near Madipakkam and is a four-storey building. The deceased was identified as Harini, daughter of Rajeshwari and Yogeshwaran who works at an IT sector company in Chennai. The deceased was a student of class 9 and was studying in a Velachery school.

According to the reports, the girl's mother asked her to take the clothes off from the terrace as it started to rain around 10 PM. Police claim that she lost balance as she was trying to reach a specific height to get a cloth hung at a higher height.

The length of the terrace was also quite small for which she toppled from the roof. She hit two sunshades leading to serious injuries and bruises. The neighbors informed her mother post she was rushed to the hospital. Having serious injuries in hips, head, and legs. She succumbed to death because of her injuries.

Madipakkam police registered the case as an accidental fall and the body was sent to a different hospital for postmortem.
