Father of Agni Missiles and a well-known DRDO scientist Ram Narain Agarwal passed on 15th August. His skills and excellence have greatly impacted India's defense systems. Agni Missiles have a greater power and contribution to the nation's safety. Ballistic missile systems were entirely designed by Ram Narain Agarwal.

He was extremely capable of understanding the strategic and defense needs of India and his vision ensured long-term development in shaping India and its powers. Being the program manager at DRDO he not only introduced Agni missiles but was also eager to innovate the missile in every possible way.

About Ram Narain Agarwal

Ram Narain Agarwal was born in the year 1941 in a family of traders. He graduated from Rajasthan and earned a good reputation in academics. He was a student of the Aeronautical Society of India and the National Academy of Engineering. DRDO chief, Dr G Satheesh Reddy said, India lost a legend as his contribution will always be remembered.

He was a prominent lecturer and had helped students understand the physics of Missiles. He further improved India’s capability to develop Indigenous weapon systems. His progression in the Advance Science Laboratory and his role in making the department skilled is quite underscored. Ram Narain Agarwal has worked with notable scientists such as APJ Abdul Kalam who has also been a great contributor to the defense systems.

His long-term work will be reflected in the future and will serve as a pivotal technological advancement in the sphere of defense and national security.
